Songda Cai - Marine Wildlife Conservation Photographer

Songda Chai is WWF's Nature Photographer of the month.

Plastic pollution, especially in the oceans, is reaching new heights. As a diver and underwater photographer, he is also noticing how micro plastics, smaller than sesame seeds, are invading our seas.

Marine animals often eat micro plastics by mistake, leading to gastrointestinal diseases and even death.

Songda hopes that his photography can shine a light on a crisis that is developing, unseen by most.
